From a relaxing river and countryside walks to contemporary art and the East Lancashire Steam Railway nearby, Burrs Country Park Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite has plenty to offer the whole family. The site is based around the River Irwell and the remains of two cotton mills. There are many interesting archaeological remains and water courses in the area because of this. Burrs Country Park itself is just north of Bury town centre and has handy public transport links to Manchester. Travelling north and east of Bury, you’ll find picturesque countryside with numerous small towns and villages, perfect for exploring on foot.
